You have two choices for this week:

1) Free choice. Write about an aspect of Religion and Empire that you find interesting. Do you agree with it? Disagree? Does this aspect of the book relate to anything else we have read or discussed in the class?

2) Are Conrad and Demarest (authors of Religion and Empire, the book for weeks 4-6) engaging with the Black Legend? Are they responding to it directly or indirectly? Does their book's argument support or refute the Black Legend? Does it have nothing to do with the Black Legend?
